Updates on Research Task Progresses

Task 9 Plan

The Education and Outreach activities of this research project will be planned throughout the duration of the project to achieve three major goals: 1) Effective transfer of tall wood building RBSD knowledge to the research and design community; 2) Educate the public on tall wood construction in seismic regions; and 3) Inspire the next generation engineers and researchers through graduate and undergraduate student involvement in the research. Key activities planned during the project for achieving these goals include:

1. Industrial seminars delivered by the PIs
2. Public test events with national and international media exposure
3. Education opportunity for graduate and undergraduate students (see Education Section of the website)
4. An International Tall Wood Building Blind Prediction Contest for students, researchers, and engineers around the world
